I have been in some form of sales for many years, and one thing that never changes is that you will always have competition. However I have started to notice that all though there are more gadgets, automation and marketing strategy then there used to be, some of the fundamentals of selling seem to be fading away. In that regard, it’s getting a little easier to out class the competition. What do I mean? Here is a list of things that are so rarely practiced consistently anymore that you almost seem weird if you do:
-Arriving on time (or a little early) -Being kind -Complimenting people -Not complaining about current affairs -Saying Yes -Keeping your promises -Not being profane -Listening to others -Taking responsibility for your actions
I know you seasoned sales people out there are thinking “this is all fundamental” but how many people do you know that practice all these things daily? Or better yet, how many people do you know that live there lives that way?
You can’t replace principles with technology or strategy, but if you can get all three working together you will be unstoppable!
We have always taken pride in making sure we are providing our clients with all of the promotional, print and marketing needs. We noticed that for years as we would go out for sales calls, we would find ourselves making CRM recommendations, or helping people leverage there sales and marketing tools.
Well its time for us to start offering those tools, implementation and support. In the coming weeks and months we will be revealing the package offering in more detail, but I wanted to let everyone know that this is not new to us. I designed my first CRM over a decade ago, and have been at it every since. One thing I learned during my years of CRM development and implementation, is that there is not a one sized fits all option that works. At Team Lang Promotions we can assure you that our offerings will work for your company, and make sense for your client acquisition and retention goals.
Fundraising is a huge part of what drives a non-profits ability to meet it’s goals. For many organizations Direct Mail is a large part of that fundraising. Unfortunately many charities and non-profits spend so much time and money on Direct Mail that it takes those resources away from doing what they want and need to be doing. We setup Direct Mail programs that are safe, easy and cost effective so charities can focus on what matters, which is helping other!
A good partner enables you to do what you do, without wasting your time doing what they do. One of our Healthcare clients is doing some amazing things right now. They are expanding into new markets and are rapidly spreading across the US. As part of this expansion the requirement for their partners to be nimble and reliable is critical.
Our goal is that our clients don’t have to worry about the logistics of our magic, but that they can trust it is working! If they order tens of thousands of items with multiple versions to be distributed to 8 states, they do not need to know that we split the distribution to 5 facilities so that we can cut down on shipping and turn-around by having 1 day ground drops instead of sending from one facility. They just need to worry about Healthcare…
Often when engaging with new potential clients for Print and Promotional Products I hear “we are pretty happy” or “we are used to the person we are using”. I have even heard “If it ain’t broke”. It got me thinking; in this competitive environment where time and money are arguably more important than ever, should people settle for “not broke” or “good enough”. Granted in many industries you get what you pay for so maybe the thought is you cannot afford to work with a better company. Here is a little secret; my industry is so competitive that the top companies need to truly be everything to get the best clients. At Team Lang Promotions we exclusively work medium to large businesses and we spoil them rotten!
If you are anywhere below Great with your current partner, check us out at the Team Lang website, or give us a call. Sound to good to be true? I will give you some names and numbers of our current, very happy, large clients and you can check us out!
There is nothing more magical than a well-organized event! As an avid (and slow) endurance athelete I have attended dozens of events over the years. Most are pretty good. They deliver on what they are supposed to with the minimum necessary approach. Other have been truly awful. I remember on in particular where they ran out of water half way through the event, and another where the course was off and everyone ran the wrong way. What is really rare is a great event where not only is everything delivered as promised but the event organizer goes above and beyond to make it fun and special.
Over the last two days my Team and I rode our bikes from Seattle to Portland in an event put on by Cascade Bicycle Club, and it was truly and amazing event. Everything was delivered above and beyond expectations. When you think of the logistics of guiding 10,000 cyclists across 205 miles over 48 hours, it is amazing to think it can be done at all, but to make it great took time, talent and a love for what you do!
Thank you Team at Cascade Bike Club! I’ll be back in 2019
